Gary Taylor is co-writer and featured
vocalist on the ballad "No Me Without You", produced by Doc Powell for his
DOUBLE SCALE album on the Windham Hill label.
As a background vocalist, Taylor has appeared on many
projects. The Whispers "Rock Steady" and the Taylor produced "My
Flame", for singer/actress Vanessa L. Williams are two most notable. He is often
found in the background on all of the songs he has produced. Taylor says his greatest joy
in background singing came when he was called to sing on a song with the legendary Nancy
Wilson. To this day, he cherishes a thank you letter he received from Ms. Wilson for that
project.
